There was a big gap between Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero: World tour. It’s Aerosmith, Metallica, and Smash Hits that really add nothing.
Yes, the instruments are way over-priced. I just buy the stand-alone games. I’m happy with the instruments I have now. I’m also glad Microsoft and Sony stepped in, forcing Rock Band’s and Guitar Hero’s instruments to be cross-compatible.
I really wish there was a two year gap between Guitar Heroes. It would give them time to release more downloadable songs.

Nice vid man and I agree, I haven’t bought Tiger woods since 2007, but I am going to get 2010 soon, and I still don’t own 1 COD game, although I have played 3 through 5. I will buy MW2 just for the night vision goggles though lol.

I have not bought a Madden game since 2005. Just was really burnt out with football after playing 02,03,04. You need to add THQ with the Smackdown series. I am not going to buy anymore of those games neither. I am just like Dave I never owned a COD game. Hell, I never played a COD game yet.

I gotta disagree with you on the Tony hawk hate, Tony Hawk is not going down, a lot of people actually really enjoy it but Tony Hawk brought this new skateboard thing that comes with it is because Skate. franchise is taking over and Tony Hawk are steping their game up that’s all, they are in competetion with Skate. franchise.

    Great video, keep it up!

While I do agree with your take on EA’s yearly release of “new” sports games, I have to disagree with your opinion on Activision’s practices and the Call of Duty franchise.

COD: WaW is certainly worth a full 60 bucks. Yeah, it has the same gameplay as COD4, but so what? The gameplay for COD4 was fantastic so why change it? The WaW campaign is entirely new and the environements and weapon/player skins are new too.

In the case of plastic peripherals, I don’t have a problem with these either. Activision has a new plastic guitar every year you say? Well then just don’t buy it. Nobody is forcing you. If anything, they are just giving you more options which is never a bad thing. While I’m not a fan of the band-specific titles, I do think that the major releases are worth it.

I’ll end with noting that gamers love to bash the biggest publisher. They always have. When EA was king, it got all the hate for its yearly sequels. Now that Activision has overtaken EA, it’s almost as if people automatically transferred their hate without even really giving the company a chance. And let’s not forget that Activision is actually “Activision Blizzard”, and is the publisher that has brought us some of the greatest video game experiences of ALL TIME, including the Warcraft series, Starcraft series, Call of Duty series, Guitar Hero series, and Diablo series. Unlike EA, I don’t believe ACTIVISION BLIZZARD deserves this hate.
